Ahead of the release of the new iPad, a game that became one of the best-selling paid applications are soon to get updated to match the Retina Display screen. Bart Decrem, Senior Vice President for Disney Mobile told Pocket-Lint that the update is occupying the top of the list of priorities. “We have a new technology that we use in some of our applications, including ‘Where’s My Water?’, To be spread by means of the method over the air. This is clearly a priority, although I still do not have a definite timetable for implementation.”
The rapid increase in resolution to update the plan as successful application of ‘Where’s My Water?’ Definitely not a big surprise. Initial applications for the iPad 1 also had a similar experience when the developer brings HD versions of these applications for the iPad 2. Coupled with the release of the application that comes with support for the Retina Display resolution, it will also boost the apparent total number of downloads for the application and additional means of income for the owner of Apple’s App Store and developers as well as the creator of the application.
‘Mass Effect: Infiltrator’ plus some gaming applications also rumored release of Electronic Arts will soon get the Retina Display resolution support. Unfortunately there is still no definite information about the update schedule for 2048 x 1536 pixel version of those games.
One thing for sure is, there are many developers who are working extra hard to deliver high-resolution applications in accordance with the Retina Display to coincide with the release of the latest iPad next Friday (March 16, 2012). If not, it will be many new iPad owners are disappointed because of the minimal number of applications that have a display with a resolution of Retina Display class.
