According AllAboutSymbian, Nokia said that the new devices will be tested in Symbian Belle in early 2012. Early speculation says that Symbian update is ready by the end of the year. Here is the official statement from Nokia:
“Nokia Belle is the newest release of the Symbian software with a user interface that is really new, improved user experience, and many other improvement and new features. We have sent the Nokia 603, 700, and 701 with software Belle this year and get very good reception from the users.
“We will provide Nokia Belle on consumers globally to test it on Belle’s software products in the range of Nokia smartphones such as N8, E7, X7, C6-01, C7, Oro, E6, and the Nokia 500 in early 2012. With it we hope to millions of Nokia consumers around the world will get to experience a totally new with their Symbian smartphones. “
Nokia does not provide specific details of their statements about the schedule in ‘early 2012′, but a few pages up Nokia said its release schedule is probably around February 2012. This schedule also likely not be valid simultaneously in all regions.
