Social networking is now arguably one of the critical need for many people, I wonder if then popping a variety of alternative media to connect friends and relatives. If Facebook has established itself as a giant social network with 800 million users, Twitter quite some success as a microblogging site, Google+ continues to present a variety of new features, even Manchester United reportedly will also launch social networking, and Microsoft did not want to miss.
Perhaps you still remember the news a few months ago that said that Microsoft was preparing a new search social services under the name Tulalip. It seems that the news continues now, this week The Verge managed to get a view of new services such Microsof earlier. If you think this service is typical of social networks like Facebook or MySpace, then you are wrong.
Microsoft’s new service is called Socl, no longer the name Tulalip here. Socl combines search with social networking. As previously disclosed several months ago, users can sign in via Twitter or Facebook. This service is designed like Windows Phone tiles or Metro UI.
Status update on the search apparently focused on Socl (with Bing), although the user can divert them to regular status updates. Your friends will be able to comment on your search, click on? Like? and even tagging. Other features offered include party video that allows friends to watch videos together and certainly social search.
The only thing that is not owned by Socl is iteraksi personal or private, there will be no private messages, @replies, group and others are usually owned by most social networks. However, once again, Socl is not designed to look like Facebook or social networking in general, even if Microsoft can always add these features to the front.
Currently Socl is research project, and there will likely public beta testing by invitation limited to users who will soon be launched. We wait for the continuation of news.
