iPad Mini 7.85 inch in the construction phase?

Last week we had heard rumors that Apple is preparing iPad Mini to compete with the Kindle Fire having competitive prices. Now, rumors are again circulating, even growing. Despite the presence of these rumors as against the statement of Steve Jobs a year ago.

Jobs once said that the reason Apple does not make a 7 inch tablet is not because they do not want to cut prices, but because the screen is too small to express the software. Who would have thought if the rumors this time he was actually contrary to the statement. Apple reportedly working on 7.85-inch tablet. Well.. 7-inch may be too small, but 7.85?

At the beginning of rumors circulating, analyst Brian White said that the iPad Mini will not have a smaller size, but just a term given to the iPad a more affordable price. However, many suspect the iPad Mini will be powered 7.85-inch screen and has the same resolution with iPad 2. This means the mini-tablet has a sharper graphics because the resolution has been compressed into a smaller screen.

According to rumors, LG Display and AU Optronics has sent a sample of 7.85-inch screen. And if it goes well, we can see at least a  iPad Mini release early next year. What do you think, if Apple is still considering a smaller tablet device, or is this just a rumor with no foundation?
