After a short time ago Samsung officially announced their latest
Nexus Galaxy, now comes the news related to these devices. Reportedly the first smartphone running the Android Ice Cream Sandwich will not be supported by Gorilla Glass.
Corning has previously revealed and claimed via Twitter that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will use Gorilla Glass. However, the official press release in Hong Kong, the Samsung did not mention anything about the Corning products.
This rumor comes from a flyer that says that the Samsung smartphone output will have a Gorilla Glass. And the public is now confused by the Samsung is not giving any comment regarding this.
Some think Galaxy Nexus does not need to have Gorilla Glass to protect the screen from scratches or impact. Gorilla Glass offers several capabilities not shared by other types of glass, one of which is durability. The device is equipped with Gorilla Glass will shatter resistance. However, a drop test that compares the Samsung Galaxy S2 and iPhone 4S (with Gorilla Glass) shows another fact. Hmm.. Galaxy Nexus does this mean no need to use Gorilla Glass?
