Still remember the concept of Nokia flexible phones introduced the Nokia World in London last week? New concept in mobile display technology is indeed very cool. How not, a screen phone/tablet is no longer using the touch system to operate but was replaced by twisting, which is ‘twisting’ display to the right/left, up/down and front/rear directly on the device.
While Nokia is still making the flexible display is a concept and do not know when it will be applied on a cell phone or a tablet, Samsung has just said flexible display on a smartphone/tablet will be those embodied in the year 2012.
Previously Samsung has announced the Galaxy Skin with a flexible display that can be bent without damaging the constituent material. That concept is expected to be as flexible displays that use Samsung’s for flexible series products later.
Galaxy Skin is the smartphone with a display made from polyimide substrate instead of glass. This makes the phone is soft enough to bend without damaging image quality, and are resistant to hammer blows.
Samsung plans to release a smartphone with a flexible display next year. Later, similar technology will be applied on the Samsung tablet. Can not wait? Just wait….
