One of the most popular Android ROM is MIUI ROM. Now you have the opportunity to install it at this year’s best selling smartphone, the Samsung S Galaxy II. MIUI has a very cool and well equipped with many useful features not found in Android default. With MIUI you will have many additional options in notifications drawer, smart dialing and the camera app/music/gallery.
Before starting to install you should definitely rooting GSII first. Then make sure you have backups of all data that is in the GSII.
Step 1: Download MIUI 1.7.29 for GSII here.
Step 2: Connect GSII to your PC using a USB cable and copy. Zip file you downloaded in Step 1 to the root of SD card phones. For example, the parent directory of the SD card phones. After ter-copy, disconnect the phone from the PC.
Step 3: Download and install the ROM Manager [Link Market] to GSII.
Step 4: Run the ROM Manager. Tap the Flash ClockworkMod Recovery and select Samsung Galaxy S II of the phone list. Afterwards reboot your phone.
Step 5: After rebooting, run the ROM Manager again and tap on Reboot Into Recovery.
Step 6: Once again the phone will reboot, and afterwards will go into Recovery Mode ClockworkMod. You will see different options in this mode; use the volume keys, scroll down to ‘backup and restore, and create backups.
Step 7: It takes time for backups. After selaesai, scroll down to wipe data/factory reset. Also, scroll down to ‘advanced’ use the volume keys/home button and ‘wipe Dalvik cache. “
Step 8: And now it’s time flashing: scroll down to ‘install zip from sdcard’ > select zip from sdcard > MIUI-7.1.29-SGS2-beta32.zip. MIUI will from now in the process flasing to GSII.
Step 9: It does not take long for flashing. Next you need to reboot the system via the main menu of the CWM recovery. If all the above steps correctly then you do now you have been booting to GSII MIUI. Good luck!
