Google is rumored to speed up the release date of the Android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich as one strategy to compete with the iPhone 5. It is estimated that Android 4.0 will be available on the market earlier than the emergence of Apple’s iPhone 5.
Earlier in the year 2010 Google releases Android 2.2. Licensees Froyo on Android phones, earlier than the release of iOS 4. Furthermore, the Gingerbread Android 2.3 release in December 2010 with support NFC, the repair function copy/paste and WebM video Codec.
Honeycomb next Android version is intended to compete with the iPad 2. Google to accelerate the release of Honeycomb through Motorola Xoom, Xoom may be marketed so that precede the release of iPad 2 but such a strategy does not provide sales success because Xoom very bad considering the release of Honeycomb is not in a condition not yet ready to release the final alias.
With Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwiches, Google hopes to provide a 3D holographic UI in Honeycomb tablets to be used in Android smartphone. That can be done by creating a combined version of the Android API that can run on a variety of devices designed for Android 4.0.
Previously Google was planning to release Android 4.0 at the end of the year but the site BGR mentions that there is a chance Google will launch it in early October 2011. That is of course to anticipate the explosion of five-expected iPhone release between September/October this year.
