Last week with gusto, Nokia Corp. today announced its latest smart phone, N8, in celebration Nokia World, in London. Not a week, a change made by the Finnish vendor.
Yes, Nokia is rumored to be delaying shipments of mobile phones with the power to 12 megapixel camera it is on the market, from the original end of September. According to Nokia, delays N8 itself is expected to provide credible competition for high-end smartphone made by Apple Inc or Google Inc. software based on Android.
“In some markets, we plan to begin providing our customers N8 Nokia for pre-order at the end of September,” Nokia said in a statement sent via email, quoted by the Wall Street Journal, Tuesday (21/09/2010).
“To ensure excellent user experience, we have decided to postpone the delivery of the Nokia N8 this,” he added.
However, the world’s largest mobile phone company does not determine the cause of the delay.
Nokia said that preorders for the phone has exceeded expectations. Last week, when it launched the N8, the company said it had received the highest pre-order online and throughout history has been signed up to 100 wireless operators to offer it.
As is known, N8 equipped with 12 megapixel cameras and high definition video capabilities, but analysts do not think it will be able to beat Apple’s iPhone 4 4. N8 will be priced at USD482 taxes yet, in europe.
