Adobe has announced that it plans to upgrade to Flash that is used in smartphones, but Apple’s iPhone.
Parties Adobe said the Flash upgrade for this smartphone will support enhanced video performance through the optimization of hardware acceleration on mobile devices. Support for mobile devices will be available on Android 3.0 “Honeycomb” and BlackBerry Tablet OS.
The company also said that the feature is now compatible with Adobe AIR Android and Apple’s smartphone. At the end of 2011, Adobe expects more than 200 million smartphones and tablets to support Adobe AIR applications. So that was quoted by Cellular News.
Additionally, Adobe announced that more than 20 million smartphones that use software Adobe Flash Player 10.1. For 2011, the company expects the Flash Player to be supported on more than 132 million units worldwide. More than 50 tablets are expected to support the Flash Player this year alone.
“We are very pleased to see the adoption of mobile Flash Player and AIR and even exceeded our own expectations, with many more to come in the months ahead,” said David Wadhwani, senior vice president, Creative and Interactive Business Solutions Unit, Adobe.
“This remarkable progress towards ensuring that mobile users everywhere have access to their favorite content from casual games to video Web and enterprise applications regardless of what device they use. And, CS5 we’re excited about the ability to easily expand employment their creative throughout millions of mobile devices, “he said.
