This is significant news for BlackBerry enthusiasts. Monday, April 5, RIM has released, that RIM fell in Nasdaq trading, after calling the BlackBerry handset prices down. However, it is interpreted, that the signals interfere with its entry into the profitability of developing countries.
The average price of BlackBerry service being sold was USD 311 in the last quarter and will fall to between EUR 305 and EUR 310 this quarter. RIM is projecting gross income, the percentage of sales after deducting production costs 44.5 percent, down from 45.7 percent in the previous period.
A survey conducted by online market researcher, Crowd Science shows that BlackBerry users are more likely to leave the brand’s user compared to the iPhone or Android. Users are asked about the possibility of buying a mobile phone or smartphone if the purchases made on the next day.
BlackBerry owners as much as 39 percent said they “definitely or probably” would buy the iPhone. Approximately one-third stated that they will buy Android phone.
Due to jealousy with a touch screen, many BlackBerry users begin to feel the itch in 24-month contract and they are willing to switch to Apple’s iPhone or Google Nexus One, according to the study.
