Microsoft Office 2010 beta 2 requires users to enter their product key to initiate the installation process. Do note that users who are in Office 2010 Technical Preview program, can easily create one product key for them via Microsoft Connect and can use the serial number during installation. Remember that you have to use two separate product keys, one to start installation procedure while another to activate MS Office 2010.
